ClearBank has announced the appointment of James Hopkinson as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Stuart Morley as Chief Information Officer (CIO).
James joins ClearBank from Standard Chartered where he spent almost twenty years in a variety of roles, most recently as the global co-head of finance and CFO for the Group’s regions and segments. He takes over the role of CFO from Marc Jenkins, who moves to Head of Strategic Projects.
Stuart Morley joins in a newly-established role of CIO, where he is responsible for leading and driving all aspects of technology across ClearBank’s Technology teams. Stuart has over 25 years’ experience working in financial services, predominantly in technology leadership roles.
In his last role, Stuart was the Technology Partner for Eight Roads, the venture and principal capital firm that invests in and supports the growth of fintech and other start-up businesses. Prior to this, Stuart was CIO for Fidelity International in Asia and led the firm’s global innovation program driving the adoption of new technologies.
“We are thrilled to announce James and Stuart’s appointments, which further strengthens ClearBank’s senior management team and helps set us up for our next stage of growth,” said Charles McManus, ClearBank’s CEO.
“James and Stuart join ClearBank at an exciting time, as we continue to build upon our Banking-as-a-Service proposition and deliver innovative, cloud-based and technology-led services to more and more customers.”
